Capital City Highlights – 3 days/2 nights – Sept 2024

$1,995.00

As the capital, Wellington tells a different story to other cities in New Zealand.

On this short break, we’ll discover our political heart, starting with a private tour of the fascinating He Tohu exhibition, showcasing the foundation documents of New Zealand – including the original Declaration of Independence (1835), the original Treaty of Waitangi (1840) and the Suffragette Petition (1893). A public tour of Parliament and guided tour of the grounds will also be enjoyed.

The private ‘behind the scenes’ tour at Te Papa will focus on significant taonga (treasures) housed in the archives of our national museum. This is a rare opportunity that few New Zealanders ever get to enjoy.

No visit to Wellington would be complete without sampling the local hospitality scene. Plenty of time will be factored in for you to relax and enjoy some of the most creative artisan food and beverage producers in NZ.

Hosted throughout by a professional tour guide. Luxury accommodation, private tours, entry fees, return airfares (Auckland – Wellington – Auckland) and comfortable transportation in Dunedin is all included in this package deal.
