Join our guides for this year’s Auckland Transports guided walks programme. Starting in April with New Lynn!
Throughout the walk, you’ll discover hidden gems in this culturally diverse and creative neighbourhood. Rich in history and home to interesting venues and community groups, this guided walk will showcase lots of great reasons to get walking in New Lynn.
These 2-hr guided walks are FREE to join but you must pre-register with Auckland Transport to take part.
Sign-up for this weekend’s walks:
Saturday 15th April 2023 – 10am-12 noon.
Sunday 16th April 2023 – 1pm-3pm.

The walks start and end at the New Lynn Station. The walks will proceed in all but extreme weather, so please bring a weatherproof coat and wear comfortable walking shoes on your chosen date. Sunscreen and a refillable water bottle are recommended. Should extreme weather occur on your chosen date, you will be contacted with an alternative rain date.
Classification: EASY
An easy walk along formed paths. Mostly flat. No stairs or hill climbs. Less than 4kms.
Suitable for all ages. Must have basic level of fitness and be able to walk the route unassisted without seated breaks.
This walk is not suited to wheelchairs, pushchairs or other mobility devices unless otherwise stated.
