Designed for art lovers, this 4-day art adventure to Taranaki is not to be missed!
Starting in Auckland City, we’ll hit the road with a small-group of like-minded people (8 people) and experience one of the most scenic road-trips in New Zealand – from the lush rolling pasturelands of the Waikato through to Taranaki’s wild west coast landscapes.
The next two days will be filled with studio visits, art demonstrations and visits to some of the regions best creative practitioners and venues.
Of course, no trip to New Plymouth would be complete without a visit to the Govett-Brewster Gallery but we’ll also visit Puke Ariki to view incredible local taonga with a fascinating history.
This will be an inspirational trip and we encourage photographers, artists and writers to bring materials to create your own work during the trip.

Departs: 9am Friday
End time: no later than 5pm Monday (dependent on traffic)
Meet point: Queens Wharf, Auckland City. South Auckland pickup available on request (Manukau transport hub).
End point: Queens Wharf, Auckland City (or Manukau transport hub drop-off on request).
Cost: NZ$1,365 per person
Includes – professional driver guide, private tour of the Govett Brewster Gallery, studio visits, art demonstrations, museum entry and donations, three nights accommodation twin-share at Brougham Heights Motel (or similar) return transport from Auckland city.
Excludes – meals, snacks, beverages. These can be purchased throughout the journey at your own cost.
This event will proceed regardless of the weather. Upgrade your accommodation to your own King Room for an additional $180. This tour requires a minimum of 8 pax to proceed. You will receive a full refund should the tour not proceed.
